Dear Alumni, Parents & Friends:

On behalf of the executive board and President Jeff Reiman,  I would like to invite your participation in the Harvard Club of Nevada. Whether you are a recent arrival to the Silver State or a long-time resident, the Club provides excellent opportunities for your continued participation with the Harvard community. Collectively, we are part of a distinguished and highly accomplished family, and my hope is that we can continue to support the university and each other in our professional, social and personal lives.

Membership in the Harvard Club of Nevada supports local programs which focus on identifying qualified, prospective applicants to the university, mentoring/supporting current undergraduates attending Harvard College, and providing enrichment activities for fellow alumni and friends here in Nevada. Whenever possible, we also extend invitations for collegial interactions and programs with alumni from sister universities, like the Yale, Penn or Stanford Clubs among others. Together, we can create an enlightened, engaged community here in the Las Vegas valley.

This month (April), we ask for your participation with and support of our most distinctive program. The club's Annual Spring Reception & Prize Book Ceremony recognizes local students who have excelled academically while achieving highly in sports, community service, or school leadership. We invite parents, teachers, and school principals to honor their students. Alumni are needed to sponsor this reception and join us to discuss their Harvard experiences with potential and admitted students attending the reception. Ticket information regarding participation and registration will be posted soon on our website: harvardclubnevada.org.  We hope you will be able to join us.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the members, interviewers, and officers who have graciously supported and served the Harvard Club of Nevada in the recent past, especially during the COVID crisis. Your dedication and efforts on behalf of the Club have not gone unnoticed.  Thank you!  I look forward to serving with you this year and to welcoming new members to our activities and events.

Most sincerely,

Clarence W. Coakley, Ed.M.'86
Immediate Past President
